Description
A short documentary film celebrating the tradition of excellence in the Freedom High School Theatre Company as it enters a new era of leadership. Class of 2020 Senior Grace Taylor retells the story of the transition while she and her new directors speak to the continuation of love and life in the program. Through this chorus of voices, this film serves as an ode to the arts.
This film project was impacted by the outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent closure of schools in the Spring semester of the 2020 school year. Originally, this piece was meant to provide a "behind the scenes" look at the Freedom High School Theatre Company's (FHSTC) production of "Mary Poppins." After Governor Wolf declared school closures for the rest of the 2019-2020 year, the FHSTC was unable to perform the show as schedule in April. This project then transitioned into a piece focusing on the history of family and community within the program, and how a directorial change impacted the community as it enters a new era.
